Quick Facts: 1997 Chevy S-10
Owner: Joe Wilson
Location: St. Charles, Il., USA
Purchase Date: July 1997
Paint: Mercedes Silver
Investment: $6000+
Club Affiliation: Twisted Koncepts

Joe purchased the truck back in July of 1997 and hasn't stopped working on it ever since. It started out as a mild 4/5 drop with 16 inch rims, and soon snowballed into a full airbag suspension that lays frame on 18's.
How low can you go?
Joe decided on 2500lb front and 2600lb rear bags to get this done. A 5 gallon tank with 2 175psi compressors to speed up the filling process. A 3" notch in the frame and the truck was layin' frame in a week.

Sittin' on chrome...
The wheel wells needed to be removed along with some inside fender to get those 18" Eagles with 40 series rubber to fit and lay the truck on the ground.
Beyond the paint...
After slamming the truck, Joe shaved the truck clean by removing the door handles, radio antenna, front license holes, tailgate hadle, and wiper cowls. A Sir Michaels roll pan was welded on and molded into the back. The license plate box was made only a half inch deep so the license plate and frame sat flush in the tailgate. A smooth tonneau was placed over the bed to finish the smooth look. The truck was finely sprayed a Mercedes Silver with very small metal flake and the flames were sprayed on using Dodge Durango blue with purple tips.

Under the hood...
A 200amp alternator was installed to help with the power drain. A cold air intake and electric fan were also added.

All in all, over $6000 was invested, and Joe says that he's not done yet.
