The story goes...
James found the car a year ago at a local Porche/Mercedes dealership. At the time of purchase, his birthday had just passed and he'd just gotten a higher-paying job. James' grabbed the Roadster on the first day it was put on the lot.

|
Previously...
Well, it turns out that the previous owner of the car was apparently a guy in charge of trucking the ring around for the WWF. He rarely had the opportunity to drive the car. Actually, when James' got his hands on this baby, it only had 950 miles on it. The previous owner was forced to get rid of the Roadster because his wife wanted a Porche Boxter.

Springs n' Things
The very next week after getting the car, James ordered the H&R lowering springs from RacingZone Auto House and had them installed. After the springs, it was time to get rid of the orange from the lights. He ordered the front headlights, side markers, and bumper lights from Circle BMW which he found through MZ3.net. His controversial tail-lights were acquired from RacingZone Auto House, the same place he got his springs from.

What made James want to build this beauty? Well, his motivation was largely due to meeting a local car crew in Orlando when he owned a Ford Probe GT. Unfortunately (or fortunately) he had to get rid of the automatic Probe, it just wasn't fast enough. He then met the President of Jade Motorsports, and so began his journey onto the import scene.

Let's go inside..
After the springs and lights, James started on the interior. The pedals he got from AJUSA.com look right at home in the retro interior. The carbon fibre kit which gave the interior a "racy" look came from Joshua Tree at woodtrim.com.

|
Rolling on...
James went back to his buddies at RacingZone Autohouse for his rims. Originally he had 19" Hartage Classic's - 19x8 (front) with 235/35/19 Yokahama AVS Sport Tires and 19x9.5 (rear) with 265/30/19 Yokahama AVS Sport Tires. He soon sold those and upgraded to 19x9 (front) and 19x10 (rear) Breyton Magic Racing 3-Piece Rims with Toyo T1S Proxes all around.

Exterior Beauty...
The Body Kit is a "Zeemax" and was ordered through Eric at Supreme Power Parts. The fit was great, some minor mods had to be done by the body shop to make it PERFECT. Chrome door handles and a ///M Hood emblem were also added.
|
|
All of the paint and body work was done by Moores Precision Collision of Orlando Florida. The wing is from Veilside and was ordered from RacingZone Auto house also. The shipping company cracked 2 wings before he finally got one that wasn't damaged.

The huge mouth upfront is just screaming for an intercooler.

All and all the car has taken a year to get to its current state. Now James wants to focus on performance, not that the car really needs it. He's looking into the forced induction options available and is leaning towards the Active AutoWerks turbo system.
James would like to thank the following sponsors that have helped him in the past year
Toyo Tires
Meguiar's
RacingZone Auto House
