Quick Facts: 1955 Chevrolet Suburban
Owner Scott Tomkins
Age 20
Location Arcadia, California, U.S.A.

This Wild Suburban was purchased 6 years ago. Since then, Scott and his father have put some serious work into this ride.
5 inches have been chopped out of the windows as well as 2 inches from the roof. The front end was actually taken from a pickup truck. Every part has been shaved including the doors and even the bolts on the bumpers. This "Wild Suburban" has a chubby chassis coil-over front end, and a 9" ford rear.

The motor is a 400 cu. In. small block cleaned up to a 406", a street cam, 750 Holley carb, aluminized headers and a TH700 doing the job of the transmission.
For some grip, the Suburban sits on 17" Boyds wrapped w/ 305/50's in the back. For stopping power this truck is equipped with disc brakes all around.

The interior is completely customized with flames through out the whole truck. The sound system consists of a Kenwood double din unit, 2 pairs of Mb Quart mid range speakers and tweets. To complete the musical balance, the Suburban also has 2 JL audio 10" w6's all being powered by 2 Alpine v12 Experts putting out about 1500 watts.

The paint job has been taken care by the 'Paintin Place'. The bodywork was taken care of by 'CW Hot Rods'. Both of these shops are located in Orange, California. The Interior has been reconstructed by 'Bon-A-Rue's' in Anaheim California. It took a total of 6 years and a lot of sweat for this Ride to be recreated into a Hot Rod Gem.
